Together Across Generations: San Luis students help border seniors fight isolation

A recent story highlights the impact of the University of Arizona’s TAG (Together Across Generations) program, which brings San Luis High School students together with local seniors to build meaningful connections and combat social isolation. Over the past 10 months, students have shared recipes, meals, photos, stories and life lessons with seniors in partnership with Campesinos Sin Fronteras. The program recently went a step further when students helped a local senior family with home cleaning and brought small gifts as a gesture of appreciation. For the students, the experience offered an opportunity to learn from older generations while giving back to their community. Audio file of this story is available below.
